Yuxian Chen, MSc

Yuxian has experience in Statistical Analysis, Survival Analysis, Medical Statistics and Bayesian Methods in Health Economics. She has done internships in several industries, applying her statistical knowledge in interdisciplinary fields.

Her past projects involve data simulation, advanced regression modelling (Random Forest, Gradient Boosting and Generalised Additive Model), categorical data analysis and cost-effectiveness analysis. She has good programming skills, including using multiple statistical packages in R (e.g., dplyr, ggplot2, mgcv, tidyverse). Yuxian has experience writing statistical reports and was given the Outstanding Performance Award in her undergraduate thesis poster presentation. Her current areas of interest are clinical trials and evidence synthesis.

Yuxian holds a Master’s degree in Statistics from University College London and a Bachelor of Science degree (First Class) in Statistics.
